As the Executive Director of the Avon Education Foundation Jayda brings her love of learning and passion for creative teaching opportunities to the forefront of this community. As a former educator she recognizes the funding gap between the basic curricular necessities provided by the state funds, and the innovative ideas our educators create to encourage our students to develop into lifelong thinkers.

Responsible for overseeing all facets of the organization, Jayda drives the mission, fundraising, operations, and engagement with both the staff of the Avon Community School Corporation and the AEF board of directors. Jayda envisions philanthropic giving as a way to strengthen our schools, support our teachers and inspire our students.

Facilitating great relationships with individuals and community organizations is a must for success. Jayda recognizes philanthropic support is increasingly important for businesses wanting to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Her goal is to aid in their gaining exposure and a chance to connect with customers in a very deliberate way.

As a member of the Avon Community for 24 years, Jayda and her husband Shane chose Avon for the strength of its school corporation. Their two children have attended Avon Schools. One is a college freshman and the other is a sophomore at Avon High School. Over the course of the last 15 years, Jayda through volunteer opportunities has dedicated her time and talents to the Avon Community Schools and other community organizations.
